Only two contract types remain
Understand the contract structure after the 2019 Labour Code.
The 2019 Labour Code narrows employment contracts to two types: INDEFINITE-TERM and FIXED-TERM (no longer than 36 months). The old code's 'seasonal or specific-task contract under 12 months' has been abolished.
That matters in practice for manufacturers who rely on seasonal labour: there is no separate contract type for short work any more. Short assignments still require one of the two types, with all the obligations that come with them.
Practitioner guidance, not legal advice
This course helps you grasp the principles and avoid the common procedural mistakes. It does NOT replace legal advice for a specific case. For matters likely to end in dispute — dismissal, collective termination, compensation claims — work with a lawyer from the start, not after the decision is issued. Content is current as of August 2026.
Key takeaway: Only two contract types remain; the sub-12-month seasonal type has been abolished.
