Demo to your script

Do not let the vendor drive the session.

A vendor's standard demo is built to highlight strengths and skim past weaknesses. The only way to compare fairly is to send one common script in advance and require every vendor to demo exactly that.

Scoring right after each session is the rule most often skipped and the costliest to skip.

Six scenarios worth putting in the script

  1. Create a course with a test that issues a certificate on a pass
  2. Assign it to 200 people by unit, then view a report of who has not finished
  3. A learner starts on a phone, stops midway, and resumes on a computer
  4. Export a full quarter of learning data to a file
  5. Add an administrator who can only see people at their own plant
  6. Record a classroom session that happened outside the system

Three answers to write down verbatim

'That's coming in the next release', 'that needs some customisation', 'we can do that but it isn't configured today'. All three mean it does not exist right now. Record them and put them in a contract annex if you still choose that vendor.
