Understand why 1–2 sample examples clearly improve output.
The most effective technique few people use: give AI 1–2 SAMPLE EXAMPLES of the output you want (called few-shot). Instead of describing the style, PASTE a to-standard sample. AI mimics that sample's structure, tone, and level of detail far more accurately than you can put into words.
For example: to have AI write feedback in your company's style, paste a good sample piece of feedback and say 'write in exactly this style and structure for the following situation…'. For a JD, paste a standard company JD. For an email, paste a sample email.
Ask for step-by-step reasoning on hard tasks
For analytical tasks (comparing candidates, evaluating policy options), add 'Think step by step before concluding'. AI will lay out its reasoning before the conclusion — a more accurate, verifiable result, and you can see what it relied on.
