The six groups
Get people into the right group — the step most often got wrong.
Decree 44/2016 divides employees into six training groups, each with its own content and duration. Putting someone in the wrong group means the training misses required content, and the record is still treated as inadequate.
The six training groups
| Group | Who it covers |
|---|---|
| Group 1 | Managers responsible for occupational safety and health |
| Group 2 | Occupational safety and health practitioners |
| Group 3 | Employees in work with strict safety requirements |
| Group 4 | Employees not in any other group — the largest group |
| Group 5 | Medical staff |
| Group 6 | Safety and hygiene monitors |
Group 4 is the forgotten one
Office, sales and administrative staff are all in group 4 and must still be trained. Many employers train group 3 and consider the job done.
