Article 118 of the 2019 Labour Code requires internal labour rules to cover the following principal contents. Missing a group can have the registration file returned.
Writing so it can be used
| Group | Written vaguely | Written usably |
|---|---|---|
| Order at the workplace | Employees must maintain order and a serious demeanour | No personal phones in the production area; entering the warehouse requires a badge swipe and a logbook entry |
| Protecting trade secrets | Company information must not be disclosed | The customer list, price list and product formulations are trade secrets; they may not be copied to personal devices |
| Breaches | Serious breaches will result in dismissal | Absence without valid reason for five cumulative days within 30 days: dismissal |
Not listed means not actionable
Only conduct specified in the rules can be disciplined. Conduct that is plainly wrong but absent from the rules gives no basis for any sanction.
