The file that must always be ready
Know exactly what to keep and for how long.
Six groups of documents
- Daily timesheets, confirmed by the employee
- Written consent to overtime, per period
- Payslips showing each element separately: base pay, overtime by type of day, night premium, and the 20%
- Notification to the provincial labour authority where overtime exceeds 200 hours a year
- The annual leave schedule and evidence that employees were consulted
- A running record of each person's leave balance
Separating the lines on a payslip earns its keep
Rolling every overtime element into a single line means you cannot demonstrate that all three layers were paid. Splitting the lines costs a few minutes of configuration and is the evidence when it is needed.
